What an exciting busy week Jane has had. It all started out in Lincoln on Monday February 28th with a Family Meeting at the nursing home where Jane's Mom is staying. They were trying to put together a plan on how long Mom needed to be there etc. Jane got there early to get Mom's hair fixed and then Maynard, Jeanne and Jane attended the meeting with the physical therapist, occupational therapist and home representative. It was decided that Mom will be there until March 18th. It was a little disappointing for Mom but she understands the need for the intense physical therapy so she can get back doing things she wants and needs to do by herself. After a quick lunch Jane headed up to Brookings, SD. Jane's daughter was scheduled for an inducement for Jane's FIRST little GRANDSON!!!!! Jane has 4 granddaughters so this is really exciting. Gavin came into the world March 1st, at 7:45 pm and weighed in at 8 lbs 10 ounces I know we are abit prejudice but he really is such a beautiful little boy. Jane's daughter came home Thursday and so Friday Jane headed back to Lincoln to help with her folks again. She has been doing the laundry and cleaning at her folks house as well as assisting fixing Mom's hair etc. at the home daily. Jane's son-in-law will be taking off a couple weeks or so to help out at home and so after he returns to work she may go back up to help out for a long weekend or something. That will probably happen after Jeanne gets back to her home. We have included a picture of little Gavin for you all to enjoy. We thank you all in advance for your continued prayer for Jane's Mom and Dad. You all understand the stresses of the care home so I know you will know how to pray. Thanks so much. ReplyDeleteCongrats on your new grandson. We headed up to Brookings last week also. We went up so Brian's family could meet Kale for the first time. Can you believe the amount of snow they have...and more is coming.
ReplyDeleteThey were getting more snow yesterday, Sunday the 6th of March. I was amazed at the snow. Am so thankful for the window of opportunity I was given so weather didn't keep me from being there when Gavin was born! They had a snow storm right before I went up and a day after I left!
